Who we are
MyLocalCallout is operated by MyLocalCallout Ltd. We are the data controller for the information you give us.

What we do
We are an introduction service. We do not carry out any work. When you submit a request, we pass it to independent tradespeople ("partners") who cover your area so they can contact you and quote. Partners pay us a fee for each introduction.
Information we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number and postcode.
- Details of the job you describe, its urgency and whether you own or rent the property.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, the page you used and marketing source (e.g. UTM tags), and a record of the consents you gave.
How and why we use it (lawful bases)
- Sharing your request with partners - your consent, given by ticking the box on our form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Running the service (confirming your request, preventing fraud and duplicate or abusive submissions, handling complaints) - our legitimate interests.
- Keeping records required for tax, accounting and to demonstrate consent - legal obligation and legitimate interests.
- Marketing emails - only if you opted in, based on your consent.
Who we share it with
- Up to 3 partner companies matched to your job. They are listed on our partner page, and we email you to confirm exactly who received your details. Each partner is an independent controller of your data once received and must follow its own privacy notice.
- Service providers who help us run the site (hosting, email and SMS delivery), under contract and only on our instructions.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We never sell your data to list brokers or companies outside our partner list.
International transfers
Where our service providers or staff process data outside the UK, we use safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your request for 365 days, then anonymise it. We keep the consent record for as long as we need to demonstrate that we had your consent.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to our use of it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]. We respond within one month.
